Over 6 months ago the BP oil spill created many environmental problems some of which are just becoming evident over half a year later. Deep-sea coral is now being found dead. Scientist cannot be 100% sure that this is an effect from the spill but test will be run to determine the culprit of the dead underwater life.
There is very little bias in the article because most of it is fact. The author does use some quotes that can be understood as bias such as “We are determined to hold the parties accountable for the damage done to the environment.” The woman saying this probably does not care for BP very much after the oil spill.

The BP disaster was a detriment not only to people, but to the marine life as well. Although the oil spill may not be the cause of death for the coral, it has been the cause of death to many other species. BP should do everything they can to restore the environment and make sure this never happens again.
ReplyDeleteIts really sad that the BP oil spill has affected so much. Now that the coral reefs are dying those ecosystems will die as well. People have stopped paying attention to the affects of the oil spill and this article was written to inform people about the effects that are still happening.
ReplyDeleteThis is an example of how you can never just affect one thing. The BP oil spill disaster affected many ecosystems and economies. Although it is not determined if it is the coral killing culprit, the spill has killed many more animals. This article reminds people that the oil spill will not simply go away, and it will prove to be a detriment to the environment for many years to come.
