This article stresses the negative connotation to the word "green" and how the society in America must work to change it. With the help of all Americans, environmental efforts can change from being used to separate parties and people to being used in order to unite them in fixing the problems of jobs, temperature, and terrorism.

In my opinion, making America a green country will fail to succeed unless we have a united team all working towards sustaining our world together. While it is true that every person makes a difference, a change will come from our country together fighting to keep our earth sustainable. It is simple things we can do such as recycle and reuse, use gas grills instead of coal grills, carpool; the list goes on and on. Overall, the idea of the entire country becoming more eco-friendly is unlikely to actually happen, however, it is going to take work, especially teamwork, to make a difference.
