  2. What causes convection cells? I have the tilt of the earth which leads to uneven heating, but I also have that the water cycle causes convection cells. Is it one of those or both?

  3. The driving force for the convection cells is the uneven heating of the earths surface because it is round. The tilt of the earth causes seasons.

    No real connection with the water cycle.

  8. Thermal stratification is temperature layers in a lake system. They are only present during the summer and winter in a lake that is located in a temperate zone with 4 seasons.
